More about Lullaby Skies
Lullaby Skies is a handmade Tasmanian business creating sustainable, quality garments and products for children and babies.
Lullaby Skies was born in 2018 by maker Mel Entrop, starting with a line of baby products including the signature upcycled vintage baby blankets.
In 2020 the brand began a line of beautiful children's clothing - slow fashion crafted with a selection of vintage and organic natural fabrics.
Based in southern Tasmania, Lullaby Skies can be found online, on social media, and at the occasional local makers market. You'll also find us at the 2021 Makers Nest Showcase at Princes Wharf No1 on November 27th-28th.
At Lullaby Skies we pride ourselves at reducing our impact on the world, and what better way to do this than to close the loop on our production.
Lullaby Skies products are made from vintage, upcycled and organic natural fabrics. Waste from production is repurposed where possible, or set aside for recycling.
All textile offcuts are given a second life - either through donation to the local early learning centre for their education program, or through Upparel and their amazing textile recycling program.
We try to make every aspect of our business as sustainable as we can:
- We use reusable compostable mailers and brown paper packing to ship your items to you
- We use a combination of natural cotton and organic cotton thread in the stitching of all items
- We save the packaging from materials as we receive them and reuse what we can, or recycle/compost what we can't
Lullaby Skies Pre-loved
We're so determined to keep our products out of landfill that we're offering a new incentive program to give your clothing a second life. Once your child has outgrown their clothing or blankets, if you haven't got anyone to pass the items on to then send them back to us.
Clothing and blankets in great condition will be cleaned and added to our Lullaby Skies Preloved section, or if it can't be salvaged we'll up-cycle or recycle the garment for you. Even better: you'll be rewarded with store credit for your efforts!
